How would you describe your personal style?
I'm passionate about the details! My style is a mix of vintage and modern. But I'm always determined to reflect my client’s personality in each event.

How do you stay on top of event industry trends?
I should buy stock in all the magazine publications, as my heart actually starts beating faster as the new monthlies reach the stands! I buy a lot of home decor and European magazines to stay ahead of the trends—and I literally love my pantone color swatch book. I watch and try to attend fashion shows to see color trends and wedding dress trends.

What is it like working with Heidi?
I am truly blessed to have Heidi as a client. She is creative, fun, decisive, consistent, loves themes, and she LOVES parties! I can truly say she is not only a client, but Heidi has become a dear friend to me.

Can you share your most memorable experience with Heidi?
The first event was her and Seal's wedding. The ceremony was just Seal, Heidi and their daughter Leni—so intimate, and I was able to be there with them as they shared their love and became husband and wife. And now every year we go back to Careyes, Mexico to renew their vows. Every year is a different theme, but there is always so much love and so many memories.

What is the single most important tip in throwing an intimate event?
Keep the guest list down so it looks and feels intimate. It’s lovely when you can actually know and talk to each of the guests.

What’s the most important part of a large event to keep both the guests and the hosts happy?
Let the hosts be guests, and make sure the guests have plenty of good food, a stocked bar and fabulous music.

What is your greatest challenge in your line of work?
Not spending enough time with my family.

Describe an ideal client?
My ideal client is someone who trusts me.

What is your ultimate career dream?
That I can continue to be a part of creating life memories. Oh, and live with Martha Stewart for a week ;)
