Rainy Day Games for Kids and Adults

There area tons of great games (cards and board games) out there that you can't buy at Wal-Mart. Ravensburger is a company who makes great games for kids and adults to play together (Enchanted Forest, etc) but you have to but it online or at a specialty game store. If you want to see a WORLD of games that most folks don't know about, go to Boardgamegeek.com and prepare to see tons of games that we personally love. Some of our favorites are: Ticket to Ride, TransAmerica, Carcassonne, Settlers of Cataan, Stone Age, Roll Through the Ages, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lords of WaterDeep, Pandemic, Endeaver, Dominion, Navegador, etc etc etc. We own over 100 different games, have formed a game group in our small town, and have so much fun that we play them even when it ISN'T raining outside!!!

Sorry but I agree with papadon.don......the only one that I would play is Scrabble, but at $199, I think that I will shop for a cheaper model. Plus the price of most of these game is terrible. I think that what I would do with my kids is get a deck of cards and play a few different card games, like Go Fish, or even Rummy. I played that with my father when I was only five years old, before we ever had a TV, only a radio and we would play for hours if we had the time. But on the farm, we had lots of chores to do year round, but we still found time for Rummy and other card games! Thank you Dad, to this day I love to play cards.

Rainy day board games for adults?? Or do they mean "bored" games?? Jeeze, there's a much BETTER game I play on rainy days.
