dessert is spelled as such, it's not "desert", my goodness, some basic proofreading AOL! Spa party is an awesome idea, coincidentially, I taught a botanicals class for kids where they had a spa day. They made their own beeswax lip balm and hand oil, too.

I'm trying to pull up the themes and I can't. All I see is a princess, cooking and spa themes. Is that it?

Adorable. My next-in-line sister's birthday was six days before Christmas and my mother was always looking for ways to have a party for her that was special, but wouldn't break the Christmas bank.

One way is to have an ornament making party. Craft stores will supply blown glass ornaments cheaply by that time and the kids can swirl paint inside, or roll them in white glue and glitter, or paint them. Wooden ornaments can be decorated, too. Pincer clothespins can be made into reindeer. Push clothespins can be made into elves, Santas, and Mrs. Claus. Take-out containers can be made into sleighs and filled with peppermints, hard tack, etc. Kids can have hot chocolate and Christmas cookies which they can help bake.

I do so miss having small children to enjoy parties like these with!

absolutely untrue about the ear infections-my sons, husband and I have not had an ear infection since we stopped dairy. dairy causes a huge build-up of mucus where bacteria breed. Allergy compounds the problem with inflammation. no more ruptured eardrums!
