Trick-or-Treat Survival Kit
If you're taking the little ones our for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, don't forget to take care of yourself, says event planning expert Mindy Weiss. It's dark, it's chaotic, and it's a lot of responsibility to keep the kids safe.
Here are some items you should have on hand:
1. Flashlight or glow stick.
2. Sturdy trick-or-treat bag -- not too big or the kids will think they didn't get enough candy!
3. Closed-toe shoes. Try to put your kids in tennis shoes.
4. Juice box or water.
5. Older kids should have a cell phone if they are going off with their friends.
