I am so excited for this, and I want to get you all involved. It all started last summer when my husband and I did a little competition to see who could log the most miles over the course of the summer. I ran every morning along the Hudson River in New York, and I found it to be an incredible, energizing experience.
So let's really do this thing! I know it can be intimidating, and it may be easier to just say, "Eh, maybe tomorrow." Trust me, I get it. I know what it's like to juggle a lot of things: family, friends, work. We are all busy and sometimes exercise gets left behind. At the same time, I'm 37 years old and I definitely want to be fit and healthy. I want to look and feel good, and I'm betting all of you do, too.
Please join in this summer and run with me. Let's make this commitment to do this every day for eight weeks, starting June 20.I will blog and tweet about my run every day to share my progress with you. Some days will be harder than others, but it will feel amazing to take this time for yourself and to feel that sense of fun and accomplishment from getting your move on.
I want you to let me know how may miles you do every day. And if you can't run, then walk! Grab a pair of sneakers, a friend, some tunes. Sometimes the hardest part is getting out the door, but let's just get out there and move! I'll keep you updated, and I want the same from you all!
