I hope you are all enjoying my Look of the Day photos. These are pictures that I have taken when I'm on the way to an event or a press interview, during fittings with my stylist or just spending the day relaxing with my family. I've always been honest that I cannot do it all myself, and I am grateful for all the experts I have around me that help me look great.
In many of the Look of the Day photos, I'm not wearing any or much makeup, and those are the days I cherish where I can let my face breathe! Skin is such an important part of looking healthy and youthful, so I want to share with you some of Sabrina and Linda's tips that help me keep my skin looking fresh when I'm going au naturel.
Care for Your Skin From the Inside and Out
Get enough sleep each night and drink lots of water. My experts have also recommended squeezing a half of a fresh lemon into a glass of water in the morning (hot or cold!). It has a cleansing effect on your body and helps with digestion. Win-win!
Wash Your Face Twice a Day
No matter how tired you are when the day is done, always wash your face. Your skin wants to breathe at night! The Clarisonic Mia is a great way to scrub the day away. Helps take off more makeup and dirt than your hands alone.
Give yourself a facial at home! Fill a pot with water and drop in chamomile tea bags. Once it reaches a boil, turn the burner off. Put a towel over your head and let the steam open up your pores. After five minutes, wipe your face off and put on your favorite mask. When your pores are open, the mask can do its best work.
Exfoliation is a key part of keeping your skin luminous. Dead skin cells make your skin dull. You can use a washcloth in the shower on your face and body. Texture helps remove the dead skin cells and dirt! We are dirtier than we think we are!
Wear SPF Moisturizer Daily
Everyone says it, but it's worth repeating. Pick a moisturizer with SPF in it and wear it daily -- rain or shine! There are always UV rays out there, even on a cloudy day! Protecting your skin from the sun helps keep you looking youthful!
We work on our butts and arms, why not the muscles in our face? Facial exercises help stimulate circulation and blood flow and keep the skin from getting saggy.
