Drugstore Beauty Buys

I've tried almost all of the expensive Olay Regenerist products....save your money, they don't work as advertised. I can't tell one bit of difference in my skin texture, feel or tone after two months. The cream is over $20 and it is heavy. The eye roller lasts about 2 weeks when used as directed...again, more than $20. Highly overrated stuff.

Getting very little sleep and being in front of a camera often is a bummer. I have grown to rely on my own judgement regarding cosmetically intended products and my best advice is to start with a clean face that doesnt strip your skin of its natural hydration. USE A PRIMER. My makeup artist taught me that and quizzes me periodically making sure i do. Also, i suggest using a pore cleanser especially the nose area at least once a week. This is the area where your pores are the most problematic. I travel constantly and suggest collagen patches to put under and around the eye area before any social event. Looking tired? Brush in upward and outward strokes a bronzer but dont take it too far and use a long wearing lip tint which is not a lipstick but looks like you just ate red berries and gives you that classic, confidence look.

You ladies should do yourselves a favor and use the only American made manufacturer of cosmetics and facial care products out there. Merle Norman is American made and all natural without chemicals. Not all cosmetics are created equal. I've tried every single drugstore foundation and powder, and they all made my face break out. I finally had to switch to Clinique for my liquid foundation, powder, and blush. I fell in love the the free samples of mascara they gave me, too. :P I buy drugstore eyeliner, lip color, and eye shadow, though. That stuff doesn't bother my face, so why spend more money on it if I don't have to? My dermatologist also had me switch from St. Ives face wash and Burt's Bees face moisturizer to CeraVe products, and my face looks so much clearer. I wish I would have gone to my dermatologist first, instead of trying nearly every product on the shelf. I spent much more money on all those other products than on the office visit!!

The number of times per year I actually put on makeup I can count on one hand and have fingers left over. Therefore, the few items of makeup I have (light face powder, blush, eye shadow, and lipstick) can last me for YEARS. Talk about saving money!

heidi klum is reviewing these and she picked her own perfume???

Drug store makeup has a lot of bad chemical that they put in them. Especially the lipsticks.
