It's almost New Year's Eve, which means it's time to get glam and head out for a fun night on the town.

New Year's Eve is all about glitz and glamour, so we chose a mix of dresses in a variety of styles to suit every body type and every budget.

Here are our do's and don'ts for getting ready for the big night out:

Do choose a breathable fabric.
You're likely going to be wearing your dress for many hours--stick to a breathable, comfortable fabric instead of something itchy and hard to move in. You'll be thankful that you did--especially on the dance floor!

Do experiment with color.
New Year's Eve doesn't mean you should only stick to black outfits. A sultry dark green, burgundy or winter white can be just as festive, especially when you add in the right shoes and accessories. It'll make you stand out from the crowd.

Don't forget about long sleeve options.
Just because it has sleeves, doesn't mean it can't be sexy and stylish! There are great options out there to make you look your best without freezing in the cold.

Don't forget to wear tights.
It's cold in many parts of the country. If wintery conditions are taking place in your town, add a cute patterned or colored tight to your ensemble. Bare legs in a snowstorm are not doing anyone any favors--especially you.

Don't overdo it.
Head-to-toe sequins doesn't work well on anyone--but a little bit of sparkle can go a long way! AFter all, it's New Year's Eve!

Ring in New Year's Eve in style with one of these dresses. Happy 2013!
