Coast-to-Coast Style: Midwest

Style expert Petra Flannery is sharing three chic outfit ideas inspired by the Midwest region, including Columbus, Indianapolis and Chicago.

In the windy city of Chicago, a cotton trench is a great barrier to the inclement weather. A dress underneath gives it a very classic look that's perfect for a city girl. And a kitten heel is very functional for walking around the city!

In Columbus, Ohio, the look is very collegiate. So Petra suggests a cropped khaki pant with a classic Ked shoe and sporting jacket, which is great for layering. It's practical fashion that's great for game day.

Over in Indianapolis, it's all about preppy fashion. Stripes are a classic print that never go out of style, so Petra chooses a classic striped dress and a cute coat for the finishing touch. When wearing a coat, don't put lots of jewelry or bulky bangles underneath.
